5th Annual Poetry & Potluck
Join us on September 12 from Noon to 5 p.m. at Foothills Park in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
FRIENDS OF WILLIAM STAFFORD WILL GATHER FOR
THEIR ANNUAL POETRY & POTLUCK EVENT

For the 5th. year running, the Friends of William Stafford will host their annual Poetry & Potluck event. This year the event will feature the new Poet Laureate of Oregon, Paulann Peterson as the featured Speaker. Rich Wanschneider, principal founder of Fishtrap, of Entrprise, Oregon, will be the Emcee for the event.

This is a great opportunity for people to meet the very large group of poets and writers that always gather together for this event. Bring a poem or a favorite story about William Stafford. There is an open reading following good food and fellowship.

Bring a friend, family, your enthusiasm for poetry, and a main dish, salad or desert to share. Everything else will be provided, including plates, utensils and beverages.

This is a well attended and favorite mid-year event for the Friends of William Stafford. As in years past, there will be guests who will be traveling from all across the country.

The gathering begins at Noon on September 12, 2010 and will run to 5 p.m. Be sure to take time to visit the Stafford Stones while you are at the park. It is a short walk to this famous sculpture garden that features the poetry of William Stafford.
